It has never been easier for creative entrepreneurs to find and build relationships with their ideal customers — anywhere in the world.
My name is Elizabeth MacLean, and I’m a media and communication consultant and educator with a background in design. I hold a Ph.D. and M.A. in Media Studies from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.F.A. in Visual Communication from Florida State University.
After years of study, a career focused on coordinating academic programs for The University of Texas at Austin and IESA (in Venezuela), and a ‘previous life’ as an art director/designer, I earned a doctorate in Media Studies. While I truly value the education I received, I also discovered that I was really interested in pursuing a variety of interests, instead of pursuing a traditional teaching and research career in the academy. This realization, combined with what I learned through my own research — led me to develop my own business.
My purpose is to help foster greater diversity of thought, expression and impact in the world.
The world needs your ‘voice,’ your stories, your talent and your experiences. Your participation, visibility and impact are more important now than ever before. Through this site, I’ll be sharing what I know, and continue to learn about media, technology, communication and creativity. Each time you visit, my hope is that you’ll come away with information, resources or tools to help you continue to share your work, build your business or organization, and create greater impact — on your own terms.
When I’m not immersed in my work, you’ll probably find me practicing my writing, illustration, and photography skills, spending time with family and friends, or running around with my rescue pup. I’m originally from Venezuela [hablo español], and make my home in Texas, where the skies really ARE bigger.

WHAT I CARE ABOUT
Breaking down the barriers to creative self-expression.
Education is a catalyst for self-improvement, self-sufficiency and economic progress.
It is one of the most effective ways to shift the conversation.
Taking an active interest in other cultures, traditions and ways of life, and engaging with efforts to build
sustainable solutions to some of our world’s most pressing problems is essential to bridging the gaps that divide us.
Because every individual deserves equal status, rights and opportunities.
